Al suo interno trovaremo un elaboratore di testi (Writer), un foglio di calcolo (Calc), un programma di presentazioni (Impress), un programma per la creazione e la gestione di database (Base), un programma di grafica vettoriale (Draw), uno strumento per creare complesse formule matematiche (Math)...avremo tutto quello che ci serve!

Consiglio vivamente di provarla e in caso si rimanesse soddisfatti (cosa certa), di sostituirla al nostro pacchetto Office (Microsoft);

Se invece non abbiamo una suite per ufficio e ne stiamo valutando l'acquisto, ancora meglio, non dovremo tirare fuori neanche un euro, basterà andare su uno degli svariati mirror reperibili in rete, sceglierne uno, espendere le varie sezioni fino alla cartella openoffice/stable/3.0.0/ e selezionare per il download la versione sviluppata per il vostro Sistema Operativo.

Se abbiamo pazienza e la curiosità non ci assale, non vi resta che aspettare Lunedi 13, data in cui OpenOffice 3.0 sarà rilasciato ufficialmente.

Ormai, personalmente la utilizzo su tutti i miei pc e sono sempre rimasto più che soddisfatto in quanto è una suite completa, stabile e....cosa da non sottovalutare...completamente GRATUITA!

Se invece preferite la versione precedente, in quanto non amate le novità ma preferite la stabilità sempre e comunque vi consiglio di farvi un giro sul sito ufficiale dove potrete scaricare la versione precedente!

Di seguito voglio elencarvi alcuni aspetti positivi della suite:

• i file prodotti da OOo hanno dimensioni molto minori rispetto quelli dei concorrenti; di solito tali dimensioni si attestano su circa un decimo rispetto alla concorrenza

• i formati di OpenOffice sono aperti e sono uno standard riconosciuto dall'ISO

• è possibile leggere/scrivere i file salvati in altri formati, tra i quali quelli di Microsoft Office

• OpenOffice.org è software libero: è possibile scaricare, legalmente, dalla rete l'ultima versione ed installarla sul proprio pc, senza dover spendere nulla se non la connessione ad Internet;

  • è possibile copiare OOo e passarlo ad altri

Με αφορμή αυτό το post και το WeekendGeekCast#92 (που με μια βδομάδα καθυστέρηση άκουσα) αποφάσισα να ξαναπεράσω το OpenOffice στο MacBook. Η stable έκδοση 3.0.0 που άρχισε να γίνεται διαθέσιμη είναι πλέον native Aqua εφαρμογή και δεν βασίζεται στον X11. Φαίνεται να τρέχει πολύ πιο ομαλά πλέον και ο χρόνος εκκίνησης έχει μειωθεί αρκετά. Ακολουθούν μερικά screenshots.

Fin qui il video in questione non subisce alcun tipo di mutamento. Proviamo invece a creare una sequenza con il preset "Apple Intermediate Codec - Sony FX1 - 1080p25", e a trascinare nella timeline il filmato appena acquisito. Final Cut ci avviserà che le impostazioni del video non coincidono con quelle della sequenza e ci chiede se adattare le impostazioni della sequenza a quelle del filmato. Ovviamente la risposta sarà no. Posizioniamoci ora sullo stesso fotogramma sia nella sequenza che nella clip originale. Zoomiamo al 100% sia nel viewer che nel canvas e osserviamo le differenze:

Nel filmato interlacciato balza subito agli occhi il classico effetto a "saracinesca", dovuto all'alternanza delle righe. Questo effetto si accentua nelle scene particolarmente movimentate guardando il filmato a piena risoluzione. Probabilmente, guardando lo stesso filmato su un televisore, non noteremo niente perchè il formato di visualizzazione è diverso e il refresh rate è più basso.

Nel filmato progressivo, invece possiamo notare che l'effetto "saracinesca" è sparito, lasciando il posto ad una specie di effetto "blur". Questo perchè durante il deinterlacciamento, i semiquadri sono stati sovrapposti sia nel tempo che nello spazio, rimanendo impressi il doppio del tempo rispetto al filmato interlacciato. Questo crea una specie di effetto scia, che per quanto mi riguarda è preferibile al più fastidioso effetto saracinesca.

Attenzione perché questo è un metodo del tutto personale, al quale sono arrivato dopo diverse prove. Ho letto tutto e il contrario di tutto sul deinterlacciamento, e non avendoci capito un granché, ho pensato di fare da solo. Sono benvenuti i commenti di chiunque voglia fare chiarezza a riguardo o proporre metodi alternativi.

È finalmente disponibile per il download la versione stabile di OpenOffice.org 3, la famosa suite open-source che tenta di sostituire quella più famosa, cioè Microsoft Office. E secondo me ci riesce bene.

Bisogna però chiarire velocemente una cosa; non è stato ancora annunciato niente di ufficiale per quel che riguarda l'uscita del programma, che secondo alcune indiscrezioni verrà rilasciato ufficialmente lunedÌ, però i file ufficiali sono già disponibile in rete e possono essere scaricati nelle varie lingue a questo indirizzo.
