A 1/10 scale, TAMIYA TL01 model, shaft driven 4WD, with a Ford Focus body shell! And a cheap entry level pistol grip controller. It cost me RM600

What was under the hood? The trusty Tamiya Black motor. That was sufficient for learning basic driving technique.
. Figuring out a 'figure 8' wasn't that easy. Luckly, TL01 has a strong chasis to take the beating from beginner drivers.
Well, what hobby without upgrades?

I did couple of upgrades after copule of months down the road. Fast motors (18T and 11T motors), High capacity batter packs (3600MaH), high traction tires, high quality shocks, etc.

Not until a year after that, I upgraded the chasis to 1/10 scale Tamiya TA04-S belt driven 4WD with Ferari 360 Modena body shell. It comes with full ball bearings and turn-buckle shafts. Hoho... I owned a Ferarri, baby!

Well....hahaha, I do play with it once every 8 months or so...haha :P

Not an unfair ad, though I think McCain is treading in dangerous waters by inviting Obama to respond in kind. There is a very long history of Republicans with established conservative credentials saying awfully harsh things about John McCain. From campaign finance reform to immigration to tax policies to even abortion policies, there is an ocean of anti-McCain rhetoric from pols and pundits who have enjoyed much greater respect from the GOP base than John McCain over the last 10 years. Hopefully Obama takes the queue.

这几天的日子都是很平淡的过,
载妈妈去这去那,载弟弟去上学,载妈妈去开工.
去了趟sutera mall,遇见了一个中学同学,一个小学同学.
吃了次KFC得到了一个肯定的结论,
故事是这样的,
我排line1,rewind排line2.
我前面有2个人,他前面有3个人.
我的cashier是"马来人",他的是"华人"
我是在Rewind那买好我的食物的,
而且我们买好了,鸡也拿了,钱也给了.
我本来在排着的line1,还在serve着同一个customer,
也就是我一去到看到的一男一女.
所以不是我的偏见,
而是真得是速度有很明显的差别,
ok,不要说全部,但是很多我看见的都是很懒散的!

这只是我看到最心痛的,

最严重最可怜的就是这只了.

那天跟restart去了趟我们的中学 - 宽柔中学.
图里的就是学校大食堂粥品档卖的面,
这一次的午餐,我花了2.7吃面,8毛钱喝了两杯甘蔗水.
娃哈哈..实在是便宜到....笑..

学校一年一度的校庆又要来临了,
就在这个星期5,今年是95年大庆.

还记得以前都会把书包丢在这里.
但是还是很多人喜欢把书包放在凳子上,
所以我没位坐的时候,他们的书包就要去坐地上的了.

训导处的布告板,
以前有事没事就会去看看的布告板,
看看自己的名字会不会那么倒霉的出现在板上,
或者看看谁人中了什么处分或者奇怪的理由被处分.

"新山福建会馆楼"
底楼是大食堂,2楼是教师办公室,
3楼是视听室,4楼是音乐室,合唱团团室.
每年一到校庆,就会吊着一条条长长色彩缤纷的布条,
每条布条都是不同班级会在校庆当天摆档义卖的广告布条.
大食堂变了不少,2号烧腊档的搬去一号改名饭菜档了,
2号档变水档了.水果档,甜品档,马来食品没了.
多了个印度人卖印度煎饼的档,很特别噢,我喜欢这间,
有机会要去吃看.

这辆小车就是我们学校出名的丐帮美术老师的车,
别看他车久久的,穿的破破旧旧,
他就住在学校旁面海的大洋房的咯.

校园绿化周计划,
很像时常都有这类的计划的咯,
不过我没看到什么进步到咯,
不过我喜欢那个新的资源回收站.

原来数学学会是那么凄凉的,
你看周围的树叶都掉光了.

这个布告版是在婉香楼的楼下旁边的.
很怀念的再生纸,还有很怀念的训导处德目,
还有体育处通告等等的.
不过我记得以前还有贴着学生仪表标准图的布告.

不懂什么名的图书馆楼,
楼下是小食堂,楼上是图书馆跟什么讲堂的,
小食堂的复印部还是一样的人营业,里面的设计变了,
不过味道还是一样.卖面的卖的食物不同了,中间的点心档没了.
现在变成了马来食品了,不过不是以前马来食品的老板的了.
你妈妈的,那个走廊在我毕业后那年就盖好了.

My first thought was that Nicholas had dropped it somewhere.  He likes to carry things around and then drop them in a VERY random fashion.  My next thought was that Maggie had hidden it because I didn't let her watch shows in the late afternoon yesterday.  Either scenario spelled trouble for us.  My husband checked under the couch and in the couch crevices.  I snuck back into the room I had just put Nicholas to sleep in, searching the floor , closet and any other random place he would go, using my book light to light the way.

Then Mike searched the downstairs.  The whole downstairs.  Another toyroom, the toy chest next to the TV, back to the hallways.  I went into Maggie's room with a flashlight and searched her whole room.   We were two people on a mission.  We finally met back up in Nicholas' bedroom with two flashlights and desperate looks on our faces.  Nothing.

I was having flashes of my children trying to ruin my night.  Maggie must have known she was hiding it.  She was the last to turn the TV off.   I almost woke her to ask her where it was.  I pictured Nicholas dumping it in the trash that had already been taken out (with last night's chicken package, iiccckkk.)  I think I was going through a mini version of withdrawal.  I was going to find it, somehow...

Looking back, we could have just read a book, or talked to each other, or various other things adults do in the night.  But I was tired and I wanted to eat my chocolate while watching a DVR'd show without commercials and go to bed.  I was sooo bummed.

I finally moved the whole toy box and there it was!  It had been on top of the toy chest and my guess is that Nicholas opened the chest and it fell behind.  Both my sweet children were innocent of any wrongdoing and no one was out to get me.  Whew.  Crisis averted.  My husband said he had even checked the toilets, what with toilet boy being one of the suspects...

So now I leave you to go eat a piece of chocolate and sit in front of the TV.  I hope.

Another shameless example of a high octane action movie that absolutely glorifies the gun. Guns blazing and bullet whizzing by everywhere and all the time...

Predictive programming elements:

1. The main character, sarcastically referred to as "Mr Hero" (Clive Owen) by his nemesis, succeeds to magically evade all the many bullets shot at him by the hordes of 'bad guys', while successfully 'decommissioning' most of them by his routinely immaculate returning fire. The obvious mantra being: the bad guys lose and get whacked while the good guys survive and win. The image of the tormented but sympathetic good guy fused with an image of invincibility is once again brutishly forced on the probably young and gullible viewing public, thus serving as potential recruitment material for the armed "good guy" forces.
2. All throughout the movie, Mr Hero sturdily maintains a cool and emotionless head (and face). It's too bad though that the viewing public may one day get a chance to mimic what they've seen in this, and so many other, brainless action movies and adopt this borderline psychopathic behavior not only in the line of fire - where given the circumstances it's more or less useful, but also in everyday life - where it's not so useful.
3. At more occasions than one, images of violence and sex are happily wedded together. By doing so the perception of violence gets an extra dimension of excitement and it literally simply stands to become sexy. Thus the attractiveness of violence is boosted by having it blend in with sexual imagery. This all too often applied media technique of psychological driving works wonders for army recruitment purposes but unfortunately doesn't exactly bode well for the integrity of a stable and serene society.
4. In the last batch of scenes, Mr Hero magically erects and commands several remote controlled shooting contraptions which enable him to take out his goon assailants with the minimum of effort and risk to own bodily harm. I'd venture to say that this scenario is to familiarize the target audience, being young potential military recruits, with remote controlled warfare, in which jeopardy to the safety of the shooters is significantly reduced while making the act of killing much easier and more anonymous to do. In other words, it no longer takes blatant psychopaths to do the killing. By the same token, I'm quite convinced that the video game industry serves the same purpose.

Way before I got an iPhone I was dreaming of this app. I love music and I have always dreamed of having a music system throughout my house where I could basically send the same music all over the house. This process seemed incredibly daunting since it would include putting wiring behind the walls all over the house. There are drawback to this approach, like the wiring would be fixed in one place and you wouldn't be able to take your system with you (easily) if you moved to a new house. These dilemmas got me thinking that it would be awesome to have a wireless system and it seemed like with wi-fi, which works so well for Internet, I should be able to set this up.

Well, when I really started getting into Apple products, I realized they have the Airport Express Base Station. This tiny device let's you create or join a wireless network. The main feature that interested me, however, was the AirTunes feature where you can send music from iTunes anywhere on your network directly to the Airport Express. You can even use multiple Airports simultaneously from one computer. I picked one of these up and it works pretty well. You give up some reliability and audio quality by not using wires, but to me it's worth it.

I quickly realized that the main drawback with this set up is that you have to adjust your music from the main computer where iTunes is running. The solution to that problem is this app. It allows you to easily control any iTunes on your network. You can set up which speakers it is using, you can browse and control music playback, and it even displays album artwork. I haven't tried controlling an Apple TV with it but apparently that works really well too. You first need to pair the iPhone with each iTunes library you want it to have access to, but afterwards you have complete control over the iTunes library. Imagine the practical jokes you can play on someone if they don't know you've paired your iPhone with their iTunes!!!

I'm loving this app and I can't wait until I have my whole house set up with wireless speakers. It's the pinnacle of laziness, but I prefer the term convenience!
